Mount Seymour - January 2002
Faced with yet more unusually spectacular winter weather up in the BC Coast Mountains, I decided to give the in-bounds snowboarding a rest and hike up to the true summit of Mount Seymour and ride the freshies back down. I intended to rent a splitboard from MEC, but settled on just using my snowshoes when I was told that they were all rented out. So, up I went and after a short ride down from the Brockton Chairlift, I strapped on my snowshoes and started hiking up to the first of three named summit en route to Seymour - Pump Peak.
After Pump Peak I continued to the second summit AKA Tim Jones Peak and eventually the true summit, Mount Seymour. Glorious views looking out over Burrard Inlet and Vancouver were had, and yes some good turns as well!
